At the
Project Completion Party in December 2000, the USJ Project Team
presented this photo mosaic to Dave Burkhart. The overall image of
Dave, the USJ Arch and the USJ Globe is actually composed of thousands
of micro-images. Each micro-image is a separate photo of something
or someone who worked on the USJ Project.
Of the images on this page, the first photo is the framed final product
itself, composed from three separate photos by Casey Spencer, Norm
Newberry and Jeff Terrell.
The second photo is a little blurry, but it shows a close-up of about 40
of the micro-images that make up the final image. If you look
closely, you can see photos of Dave, Sharon and Keilani Spencer, Bobby
Spencer and several of the cooks from the site cafeteria.
The third image is the gift hanging on Dave's wall in his office in
Osaka.
A special thanks to Sharon Spencer and Alex Parle who worked to get the
image printed in a higher quality format and then had it framed for
Dave's office.
The mosaic was created by Jeff Terrell using hundreds of photos from a
variety of sources, but primarily from the collection of Norm Newberry,
Casey Spencer and Dave Froelich. If someone took your picture
during the USJ Project, there is a very good chance it is in this
mosaic. |
